About 7 kilometers northwest of the Allée des baobabs are two intertwined baobabs of the endemic species Andansonia Sat known as le baobab amoureux (the baobab in love). Legend has it that in the two neighboring villages there were a boy and a girl who fell in love. However, they could not marry because they had already been assigned to another partner in their village. They asked for the help of their God and thus two trees were born that would remain intertwined forever as a sign of their love.
