Bombed side of the World War II Japanese communications center historical site - Babeldaob, Palau
Palau

This facility is said to have been built in the shape of a cross and disguised as a field hospital to avoid being attacked.  When the allied forces realized that it was a communications base, they dropped a bomb on it. This view shows the bombed side of the building.
