Taken just after The Subway, and before the cascade. There were people hiking it all down, but they had the requiried full canyoning gear. We hiked up and down the river. A permit/lottery is required to get there, we were glad to win the lottery for this one, even though the canyon itslef is so short (but the trail in the riverbed is pretty anyway).
In fact, there are more outstanding places that require no permits, like Peek-a-boo/Spooky, Angel's Landing, some canyons on Burr Trail... weird!
Many panoramas of Zion National Park's trails, views, canyons, and peaks. Zion National Park is known for it large exposure of the Navajo sandstone's steep red walled cliffs and world classic canyons and canyoneering routes.
