Beaches of Kazanlı and Adanalıoğlu Neighborhoods of Akdeniz District, Mersin, have the sand dunes where Caretta Caretta Sea Turtles lay their eggs, and the area was announced as a natural protected site. Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas) and Loggerhead Sea Turtles (Caretta Caretta) nest on the Kazanlı Beach.
