The General Patton Memorial Museum is located in a remote stretch of desert about 150 miles east of Los Angeles. During World War II, this was a major training ground which played a key role in preparing American troops for combat overseas. The museum documents the history of the Desert Training Center and the part General Patton played in its establishment. It further explores General Patton’s life and illustrious military career.
