Palácio de Cristal is the name of an old building constructed (1861-1865) in granite iron and glass, by English architect Thomas Dillen Jones, modeled after the Crystal Palace in London. It was designed to host the International Industrial Exhibition of Portugal, at the initiative of the Porto Industrial Association. In 1933 it was acquired by CMP. It was demolished in 1951 for the construction of the current Pavilhão Rosa Mota by Architect Carlos Loureiro.
Gardens designed by the architect. German Emile David in 1860, and transformed by Eng. Florent Claes in 1892. A reorganization of Campo da Marca, a place where since the century. 14 navigation signs were located.
