The Garganta Verde is a spectacular canyon that has been excavated by the Arroyo del Pinar. It is located about 5 km from the town of Zahara de la Sierra, in the Sierra de Grazalema Park.
The name of Garganta Verde of the lush vegetation that upholsters its elevations and vertical walls that in the most aggressive points reaches a depth of 400 meters. The path that runs the green throat has a medium-high difficulty and a length of 2.5 km (2 hours). In order to visit and access the area, a permit is required at the Zahara de la Sierra Visitors Center in El Bosque. In the depth of the gorge you can see the Cave of the Hermitage of Karstic origin.
