The old packhorse bridge at Baitings Reservoir, between Blackstone Edge and Ripponden. The reservoir was completed in 1956, submerging this bridge and the hamlet of Baitings.
The bridge is only exposed when the water levels are extremely low, this is a good visual indicator of how empty reservoirs are in the region. I've never seen it so apparent.
The morning after I photographed this, Yorkshire Water announced water use restrictions would soon be imposed. 2022: the summer of drought and heatwaves.
