waiting for the timisoara pirates
Timisoara

after meeting some of my dear fotovest friends, while they decided to gather in a club and discuss some important photographic problems and have some fun :) I took a walk in the city, enjoying some snow and the dynamic of a world that's changing. in c and d panoramas the works destroy one of the last socialist factories - "modatim" textile - to make room for an avantgarde business center that will fit precisely in the center of the town. After demolishing the medieval fortress the town hall decided the city will expand only at approximately 1000 meters from the exterior walls (at the time this was the precision to tear down a house and since the defenders of the citadel would most probably live in a neighbouring house, the officials presumes the defenderswould probably "miss" the houses if the houses were of their own) so we had the chance of having a lot of green areas like gardens and parks until recently in the center of the town. Of course money can buy anything and ... it's a pity the century old trees are the first to fall... here is a thematic park with ships the dunes (ie waves) are charming when conquered by fearless children armed with slege a snowman or two complete the landscape
