From the lookout towers it can be seen the reservoir on Pisuerga river that at the end of summer has a water reserve very small in relation to their capacity - 247 Hm3 -  because of its intensive use for irrigation.

In this beautiful setting you can practice most water sports and enjoy the designated areas for swimming what makes the place special point of attraction in the area.

Downstream from the dam on the left bank of the river you can see the Monastery of Santa María la Real, the Castle and the town of Aguilar de Campoo.
