Blenheim Garden Parks at Sunset
England
Blenheim Palace is located in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, UK. It is one of the largest and most beautiful palaces in England. The palace is surrounded by 2000 acres of gardens, parks and waterbodies which are all open to the public. Together with the Column of Victory it makes up for a amazing landscape. Construction finish around 1730, but no exact date is known. It was originally build as a gift to the first duke of Marlborough, John Churchill. The house stayed with the Churchills family ever since and eventually it also became the birthplace of Winston Churchill. The architectural design is English Baroque, it is a very rare style and only short lived. Besides the Palace itself there are lots of large gates connected by a big wall surrounding the whole site. In the extension of the symmetrical axis of the palace a Column of Victory is placed. Nowadays the beautiful gardens, parks and palace are open to the public. The palace has been turned into a museum and it houses a restaurant and gift shop as well. Occasionally large events are organised. It remains to be the home of the Churchills family.
