This spectacular display of 1000 year-old petroglyphs is called the Butler Wash Panel, as it is near the confluence of Butler Wash and the San Juan River. Only the latter of the two water-ways is visible in this image. This site is most commonly visited by rafters who stop here to enjoy this unique place as they pass on their way down the river.
