This panorama was taken on a nice day from the first convertible-style cable car in the world, the Cabrio cable car in Stanserhorn, Switzerland. The cable car has two levels with the upper level being open air so you can look around in all directions and enjoy the fresh mountain air on your way up.  The lower level is glass almost all the way around so it also provides beautiful views. There is a staircase between the lower and upper decks. The panorama was taken on the upper deck of one of the cable cars and you can see the other cable car come down for an outside view of this unique construction.

The cable car takes you to the top of Stanserhorn, an 1898m high mountain close to Lucerne in Switzerland.  The mountain and cable car provide beautiful views of the surrounding Alps.

In this panorama, you see from left to right Pilatus,  a 2128m high mountain, the city of Lucerne, lake Lucerne in the foreground and lake Zug in the background with the city of Zug along the lake, Bürgenstock, a lower mountain with the world's first mountain elevator, Rigi a massif overtowering Bürgenstock, the distinctive Mythen mountain with the two peaks clearly visible and Klewenalp providing beautiful views over lake Lucerne.

Technically, this panorama was a challenge as the cable car was moving while the panorama was shot. I shot four shots on a pole as fast as I could, but even then the scenery changed significantly between shots making some post-processing necessary. This is also the cause of some of the remaining mistakes in the panorama.
