Carn Brea Monument
England

Carn Brea is a granite tor between Redruth and Camborne in mid Cornwall, UK. At the highest point of the tor, there is a large granite monolith, built in memory of Francis Basset of Tehidy. The tor shows characteristic horizontal and vertical joints, as well as a small microgranite sheet which is just visible in the block to the west of the monument, dipping at about 45 degrees towards the SSE. The Four Lanes TV transmitter is visible on a hill to the south of the monument.
