A look at Cherry Creek Canyon region in the Emigrant Wilderness near Cherry Lake, California.  The entire region is a spectacular glacial-sculpted landscape of granite slopes & domes while the creek meanders through creating canyons & potholes.  The canyon is best known by kayakers for its Class V rapids.  Seen here is the typical granite bedrock just east of Hyatt Lake.
