Connemara is a region North West of Galway. It is the largest Irish-speaking Gaeltacht (Irish word for „Irish-speaking region“). It is famous for ist breath taking natural beauty. The coastline of Connemara is dominated by many peninsulas with a rough coastline and a few deep cut bays – or rather fjords. The Sky Road is a drive you can take near Clifden. The part of the route that runs along side the coast is also part of the Wild Atlantic Way.
