Lake Caburgua (sometimes misspelled Caburga) is a Chilean lake located in the town of Pucón, Araucania region northeast of Lake Villarrica. Its name comes from Kafurn we, which means Place Mapudungun dug with a spoon, name designated by the morphology of the spoon-shaped lake.
To the east of the lake is Huerquehue National Park. At Lake Caburgua there are two main beaches: Playa Blanca and Playa Negra, names designated by the respective color of the sand on every beach. Caburgua has been chosen resting place for various public figures as former President of Chile Michelle Bachelet, the President Sebastián Piñera, among others.
In 1997 Chilean television series was filmed "Green Gold"
The main resource is tourism Caburgua, blooming mainly during the summer (December to February local).
