Muzejs izvietots bijušā "Waldschlössen" īpašnieka Ādolfa fon Bingnera ģimenes villā, kura no 1937. līdz 1940. gadam kalpojusi par Valsts un Ministru prezidenta Kārļa Ulmaņa vasaras rezidenci.

Museum's building was built in 1897 as "Waldschlössen" family mansion of the owner Adolf von Bingner .Mansion was separated from other territory and 1937 - 1940 placed in service of Latvia's President and Prime Minister Kārlis Ulmanis as a summer residence.
