This photo was taken on a brisk Friday, March 6th on the way up a successful summit attempt on the Whitney Mountaineers Route. I had labored a month earlier up to this location during a snowstorm only to be turned back a mile or so later. Thankfully the conditions and weather this trip were perfect and a perfect summit day awaited me on Saturday.
