The New Yangnu Lake, a typical mud volcano of mud marr shape, is located at the Jinshan Village of Yanchao District. It is an extension of the Wushanding Mud Volcano Range. The lake has a nearly round shape, with a diameter of about 4-6 meters. The mud has high water content, with the ejecta appearing like diluted dark water. Since the mud sprinkles with a sound like boiling water, it is also named the “Gunshuei Lake” (Boiling Water Lake).
