Wisteria clinging to a cottage in Norton St Philip, Somerset. VR
England

This image has been re-mastered for Virtual Reality using a suitable viewer.

The history of the Somerset village of Norton St Philip goes back over a thousand years. It might be beautiful but it's not tranquil. The busy through-road is a short cut for traffic driving between Bath and the South.

The pub on the right is The George, which claims (amongst many others) to be the oldest in the country. However, Judge Jefferies did hold court there, Samuel Pepys stayed there and Anthony Hopkins drank there in the film, Remains of the Day. It's the place where the tourists go. Travellers stay at the B&B hidden behing the glorious Wisteria.

The Fleur is the centre of a lively village life - drinking, playing skittles and Sunday night Pub Quizzes (our team are champion losers).
