Palace of Guevara
Spain

Guevara Palace, also called the House of Guevara or "columns" is the most significant building of all civil Baroque Lorca. It is located on the street Lope Gisbert, one of the places chosen by the aristocracy and bourgeoisie lorquina the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries to establish their sumptuous residences. The importance of this building from the point of view historical and artistic earned the declaration of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 2008. Today, it has become one of the most emblematic and representative buildings of historical past Highlights city of Lorca. After the damage caused by the earthquake of May 11, 2011, the building was completely renovated and was reopened on April 23, 2013. Today the building is used as a museum and cultural activities, exhibitions and guided tours.
