The park was laid out in the distant year 1930, but initially he was named Postyshev. Only in ovetskoe time it was renamed in honor of Colonel-General of the Soviet Army, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Alexander Shcherbakov.

In 2006, the park was completely renovated: built several modern fountains, figures added fairytale characters. And of course, the park is characterized by an abundance of roses, flowering which occur in the month of June.
