This panorama was made in Amol on the way back from the Caspian Sea to Tehran. The first time I passed this way, more than thirty years ago, Amol was a small village. It has since grown into a sizable town. Here is a typical roadside shop selling all sorts of foodstuff and even hot water for making your own chi, infact you can get all sorts of goodies for the journey.

Although a warm sunny day when this was taken as we climbed into the mountains on the way to Tehran it became very very cold and snowed heavilly.
