This unusual name marks a cape. In

addition to waymarks You can be guided by the statue of Leiger, Hiiumaa's hero. It's an os directed from north-east to south-west. Higher parts of the os are covered with plants, but it fades into sea as a shingly shank. More interesting trees or bushes are honeysuckle, black alder, buckthorn and snowball tree. Lines of sea kale meander on the embankment and make the beach shimmer enchantingly while blooming. The romantical nature of hip blooms is obvious. Kassar has had its famous summer visitors, like writer Aino Kallas and linguist-diplomat Oskar Kallas.
