Maison Flous - 1565 - calcaire - 8, rue du Canton
Le marché de construction de cette maison a été retrouvé : il est passé le 21 juin 1565 entre Guillaume Flous, bourgeois et Bernard Giraudeau, maçon. "La muraille depuis la fleur de terre jusqu'à la cime des croisées sera faite par le devant de pierre de taille" : autrement dit, le parement intérieur n'est réalisé qu'en moellons tout venant dit "ribot" en gascon. Le maître d'ouvrage fournit la pierre, la chaux, le sable, l'eau et le logis. Le maçon fait lui-même sa cuisine. La gargouille en saillie démontre qu'il valait mieux garder le "haut du pavé" si l'on voulait éviter la chute des eaux usées des éviers.
