The only paved road outside of Avalon leads to the Airport in the Sky. Further on it becomes a dirt road towards Two Harbors and the peninsula.

When the road has climbed out of Avalon, it continues more or less level along the ~1000ft high ridge. There is a small botanical garden that features some flora of the island. All along the views are stunning. On this clear winter day one could see further than usual.
