This panorama is located on a pedestrian bridge across the Salzgitter Stichkanal close to Beddingen, a part of the German town of Salzgitter. The Stichkanal branches off the Mittellandkanal about 15 km to the north and is mainly used to supply the integrated steel mill of the Salzgitter AG, which is located about one kilometer to the south, with coal.
