Another view of flowering heather on Pennine moors, basking in the warm glow of the setting sun over the Calder valley. By the road below sits the modest site of The Moorcock Inn at Norland, a pub and restaurant which is home to some of the very best cooking in the north of England. It's been a firm favourite of our since opening, but has steadily gained wider recognition, recently being placed 14 in the National Restaurant Awards' Top 100. They also have a superbly curated drinks list, and served a perfect pint of cask beer after this was shot.
