Viel del Pan (breads path) is an an ancient trade route between Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige from "Porta Vescovo" to the "Pordoi" pass. The people of Belluno used to pass this path to bring flour, wheat and bread to Alto Adige - hence the name of the path - on the backs of mules and horses.
From this path you get a great view on the group of Marmolada and on the group of Sella in the Dolomites.

Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol consists of two provinces: Trento and Bolzano-Bozen. The region was part of Austria-Hungary (and its predecessor, the Austrian Empire) from 1815 until its annexation by Italy in 1919. Together with the Austrian state of Tyrol it is represented by the Euroregion Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino.More informations on Wikipedia
