The UnderWaterWorld Schrems focuses on the experience of water in all its dimensions. The Upper Waldviertel with its marsh areas, meandering stream courses and vast wetlands represents the ideal location for the UnderWaterWorld. To the visitor the centre is providing exceptional insights into the world of water: Water fleas, insect larvae and small fishes are bustling in the aquariums of the under water zoo. In the outdoor area, frogs, dragonflies and otters can be observed in their natural habitats. Water terraces, ponds and creeks show the singularity of the Waldviertel landscape.

Niederösterreich ist ein Bundesland von Österreich. Es ist vor allem für seine Kulturgüter, wie das UNESCO Weltkulturerbe Wachau, bekannt. Die Landeshauptstadt ist seit 1986 die im Zentrum des Bundesland liegende Statutarstadt St. Pölten.
