In April 2020, an immense wildfire took place during several days in the Deurnese Peel nature reserve in the Netherlands. Of 1200 hectare, 800 has been burned down. It was the largest forest fire ever recorded in the Netherlands. All low vegetation was burned. Larger trees were blackened at the bottom, while some of the treetops are still green.
This aerial panorama of the forest and peat area was made about ten days after the fire was extinguished.
