In Marbach am Neckar, the birthplace of Friedrich Schiller (10.11.1759-09.05.1805) was in the 15th century built on the site of a Roman basilica a new church in late Gothic style. Originally planned als a basilica again, it was executed as a staggered hall and is now one of the most important hall curches in southern Germany.
