Highway and railroad bridges across Amistad Reservoir
USA
Amistad Dam on the Rio Grande was built cooperatively by Mexican and American government agencies in 1969. The Devils River, flowing in from the north, creates a major fork of the reservoir, crossed here by highway and railroad. The American shoreline is protected as Amistad National Recreation Area.
