The Béara Peninsula is located in the south west of Ireland – between Bantry Bay and a bay called Kenmare River. It is famous for its scenic landscapes. The tourist trail going round the peninsula is called Ring of Béara. Castletownbere (Baile Chaisleáin Bhéarra) is the larges whitefish port in Ireland. The harbour of Castletownbere is a huge and very safe natural harbour.
