Ciani Park
Switzerland

Ciani Park is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the city of Lugano, Switzerland, located on the shores of Lake Lugano, also known as Lake Ceresio. With its beautiful gardens, filled with flowers and trees and views of the lake, it is the perfect place for a relaxing walk or a moment of rest in its 63,000 square meters. The park is decorated with paths shaded by ancient trees that wind around flower beds, green lawns and small squares that invite you to rest. Benefiting from a perfect geographical location, the park benefits from a temperate climate ideal for lush subtropical vegetation. Many sculptures and fountains decorate the paths, adding the color of the flowers, the rare, majestic and exotic tree species and the play of light and shadow created by the vegetation. Ciani Park belonged to the Ciani brothers, aristocratic businessmen from Milan, who acquired the property around 1845. They expanded and remodeled the existing building and, in parallel, began construction of the park. In 1912 the villa and park were acquired by the city of Lugano.
