Convent of Christ, Convent Kitchen, Tomar

Convent Kitchen, built by João de Castilho in 1551. From 1532 onwards, the Convent was enlarged, and the kitchen corresponds to the building of the vast convent in a Renaissance style (the Cloister of D. João III being mannerist), which externally involved the Manueline church and occupied an extensive area to the west (including several cloisters, bedrooms, cafeteria, kitchen and other spaces for monastic life)
