Cordoaria Garden Oporto City

Cordoaria Garden or Garden Joao Chagas, located in the Field of Martyrs of the Nation, city of Oporto, near the Tower of the Clerics, the Palace of Justice and the Portuguese Centre of Photography.

The garden was founded by Viscount de Vilar d'Allen in 1865.

Within the garden are statues of Adolpho Lutz and Anthony Noble and a set of sculptures by Juan Muñoz, 2001.

Following the redevelopment of urban European Cultural Capital Porto 2001 the garden was the target of a coordinated intervention by the architect Camillo Cortesão.
