Crescent City - Jane Doe (homicide) grave

There are two Jane Does buried in separate cemeteries in Crescent City, California.  This location at the IOOF Cemetery marks the site of where one of them is buried, an apparent victim of homicide.  According to findagrave website, she was born around 1916 in Washington State & her body was discovered around February 10, 1957.

There was an old online newspaper clipping I had found regarding this unknown murder victim however I cannot seem to locate it anymore.  It seems this case is long forgotten & will never be solved, being since this area in the 1950s didn't garnish much national attention.  Even at the cemetery, which at least used to bear an inscription regarding a "Jane Doe" - well even that inscription is now gone & all that is left at this unknown woman's grave is green grass.
