Moon Rise and Sunset at Fonts Point in the Borrego Badlands, California

Last super moon of 2016 at it’s setting to the west and rising sun in the east during the golden hour light. Font’s Point in the badlands of Anza Borrego State Park in California reveals four million years of geologic and paleontologic history. Forces of erosion have contoured this area of sedimentary rock to reveal corrugated earth creating bold shapes and colors reviewed by the golden hour light. The area has been nicknamed California’s Grand Canyon and offers canyoneering exploration by foot and four-wheel drive.
