Front of the First Baptist Church, Marietta, Georgia 4
Bill Ross has been pastor of First Baptist Church Marietta since September 2007. He is married to Penny and they have two adult children, Will and Shea. Bill graduated from Campbell University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. For over 20 years he has been involved with a partnership with India Baptist Theological Seminary in Kottayam, India. The question that drives Bill as he leads First Baptist is: "If First Baptist Church Marietta were not here, would anyone notice?" He enjoys running, water skiing, golf and spending time at the lake. Outside of leading First Baptist Church to being the presence of Christ in north Georgia and around the world, Bill hopes to run a marathon in 2012.

More About Atlanta

Capital and largest city in Georgia, Atlanta is known the world over for its parks, professional sports teams, shopping, museums, and entertainment. One of the fastest growing cities in the United States, Atlanta has been commended by the Environmental Protection Agency for its determination to implement ecologically friendly policies. Unlike many other Southern cities, Atlanta broke with its historic Old South architectural characteristics and opted for a progressive modern style led by native Atlantan John Portman, who created the atrium hotel in 1967 when he designed the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
