During the construction of the Hongmaogang Cultural Park in Kaohsiung's Harbor Port II, a revolving restaurant was also built in a building shaped like the Chinese character "gao" that means high or tall. The restaurant has become a landmark of the park. Inside, diners could enjoy a panoramic view of the sea and the harbor especially during sunset. This is also the only place where to watch intercontinental freighters sailing in and out of the harbor.
