Long Melford Church

A major 15th century church with more window than wall

Contains a great collection of stained glass showing gentry of that time together with notable memorials and a fine chantry chappel complete with wallpainting and a window of the crucifiction on a lily.

The Trinity Hospital

Was founded by William Cordell who was speaker of the House of Commons in teh 16th centuryand a great benefactor to the town and also to Oxford and Cambridge. It provided homes for the old infirm and is still in use, though modernised.
