Mauldslie Bridge & Gatehouse

Mauldslie Bridge and it's gatehouse form the entrance to one of Lanarkshire's oldest hunting estates.

The bridge crosses the River Clyde and used to lead to Mauldsie Castle which was erected in 1793 by Thomas, Fifth Earl of Hyndford.

Sadly the castle no longer exists having been demolished to be replaced by a sewage works.
