Mikri Stavroitia

The panoramα has taken from Mikri Stavroitia (the Small Stavroitia). Just north stands Mytikas and Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elijah) which towers over "Oropedio ton Mouson" (the Plateau of the Muses). Northwest is the peak "Skolio" and west stands peak Ag. Antonios (St. Anthony) whose two endings are the two Stavroities.

Under the Stavroities begins Mavrologgos (Black Forest) who continues to develop through Enipeas Gorge which ends in Litochoron.
The Enipeas Gorge separates Olympus in two parts, the northern section which are the high peaks and the south where several peaks rise to a lower altitude. Most of these appear in this panoramic photo. Direct south is Kakavrakas and just east Metamorfosis (Transfiguration). Even east stands Frangou Aloni, Kalogeros (Monk) and Pagos (Ice). The plateau under Kakavrakas and Metamorfosis is called "Barra".
