Panguipulli (from Mapudungun pangipülli, "Cougar land", or maybe pangipüllü "Cougar spirit", the etymon of origin is uncertain, because the Mapuche language has a vocal that Castilian) is a municipality located in the province Valdivia, in the Los Ríos Region XIV. Integra along with the communes of Futrono, Lago Ranco, Los Lagos, Paillaco, Rio Bueno and La Union Precinct No. 54 and belongs to the 16th Senatorial District.
