Street vendors on a mountain road in Guantanamo

Tony and I were driving the very last legs of our journey to Baracoa. We had been on this mountain road for about an hour already and it had started raining. I was personally very surprised to see any kind of mountains at all in Cuba, and to see this jungle-like landscape. The rain and cool air was very refreshing to our dusty skin. We passed these folks on one bend of the road. Tony mentioned that they most likely were selling stuff. So we stopped. I turned out buying everything they had - two bundles of mandarins, 3 bars of chocolate, and 3 cone-shaped, leaf-wrapped containers of pulverized almonds - very lovely stuff.
