The design of the New Hakka Cultural Park built in 2010 and located at Sanmin No. 1 and No. 2 parks was inspired by the lifestyle of the Hakka people. The Pagoda of Light and the Hakka Cultural Museum beside the Love River are the first expressions of Hakka Culture in Taiwan. Strict ecological standards were followed in building the park, taking care not to damage the surrounding trees and plants. The park presents diverse elements of the Hakka. There is a flower path, an auditorium, and various Hakka agricultural products and handicraft items can be purchased in an exhibition center.
