Nin lies on a lagoon of the Adriatic see approx. 15 km north of Zadar. The small town has a long history that reaches back into the 9th century B.C. when the Liburians settled here. Later the Romans came here due to the good position to the sea. Croatians came here at the beginning of the 7th century. Within the town lots of Roman excavations can be found. Today Nin is a tourist attraction.
