On the walls of a walled city in Spain
Ciudad Rodrigo, in the province of Salamanca, is a beautiful walled city with a long history. The image was taken on the N-E part of the walls and in the skyline can be clearly seen the bell tower of the cathedral and the dome of the church of Cerralbo. The city played an important role during the Spanish independence war (part of the Napoleonic wars).
